What each role gets

  • Employee — Gets one inbox across in-app, email, and SMS, with fine-grained control per category — approvals, reminders, gamification, security — over which channel reaches them and when. Sets quiet hours that hold non-urgent notifications overnight, chooses instant, daily, or weekly digest cadence per workflow, and can one-click unsubscribe from any category — while severity-4 critical alerts like security incidents always break through regardless of preferences.
  • HR manager — Owns the recipient routing for every HR-driven workflow — onboarding, visa-expiry sweeps, compensation changes, leave approvals — tuning who gets notified without waiting on a code deploy. Sends company or department-wide announcements, reviews a rolled-up HR digest of everything fired for their team, and triages "I never got notified" tickets by tracing the exact delivery record.
  • Tenant admin — Configures severity, channels, and recipient-routing expressions for every workflow across the whole platform, and sets the tenant-wide defaults for quiet hours and digest cadence that individual users can further tighten. Brings channel providers online — email (BYO SMTP/OAuth or the platform fallback), SMS, and Slack/Teams chat integrations with approve-in-card actions — plus tenant-scoped outbound webhooks to Zapier, Make, or n8n, and audits who sent what to whom.
